What can I say! I love movies! I am a very laid back person who will go and see just about anything. I always go with an open mind. I think that allows me to be a good critic. I love going to Blockbuster and finding an obscure movie title and saying - "let's give this a try!" I'm not overly critical, that's why I figure - if I can't stand a movie -it must be awful! But if I really enjoy a movie - most people will love it!
I tend to watch more dramas than anything -because I enjoy a good story that allows me to lose myself in the movie. Isn't that what movies are for? To let you escape reality for a few brief hours? That's the key to a 8-9-or 10 movie - if the story allows me to lose myself. These are must-sees in the theater. If I'm sitting there looking at my watch - then it's a 4 or below because it's just wasting my time! Its the ratings in the middle (5-6-7) that are tough -because those are the movies that are entertaining - but nothing spectacular. (those are the renters!) |
