| Once again, Nicolas Cage is perfectly cast as a confused but likeable guy thrown into an unlikely situation (see Honeymoon in LV, Red Rock West, Wild at Heart, etc.). This time around he plays a sucessful NY businessman who gets a "glimpse" of what his life would have been like if he had taken a different path (think "Trading Places" meets "Ground Hog Day"). Of course, he chooses the family life in the end, but the movie's predictability is overcome by good performances throughout the cast, plenty of laughs, and more than a few tugs at the heartstrings. Man, I need to see more action movies! Anyway, most people would enjoy this movie...perfect for that post-christmas date! Enjoy. |
