My Review:

I was extremely fortunate to see this movie soon after its release-before I knew anything about it or could learn anything about it.  This movie successfully appears to have been filmed by amateurs-a major premise of the movie.  The actors are totally unrecognizable, so they seem (and act) like ordinary people.  I don't know if there was a script, but again, it came across as unscripted and spontaneous.  All of these factors led me to actually believe (or rather suspend disbelief) that this happened.  I was totally reeled- in and thoroughly enjoyed the frightening ride.  Did I feel foolish when I later realized that I was duped?  It only made me appreciate the movie more because it was so well made to create this illusion.

Unlike every other movie on my most favorites' list, I can never and will never see this one again.  It wouldn't have the same impact-especially on the small screen.  If you missed it on the big screen, I would recommend AGAINST its rental or purchase.
