I think Sandra Bullock has a wonderful knack for drawing you into a movie. She has a way of bringing out the warmth in her characters, which forces you to feel emotion for them. And what’s better is that she does this even when her characters are supposed to be a pain in the butt (like her character in this movie, Gwen Cummings). Few actresses have the ability to do that, the way she does.
I’m sure addiction is nothing to laugh about, but this movie did a great job of adding humor to the drama. Overall, "28 Days" was better than I expected and I fail to see why it pulled in so little at the box office. I recommend you give it a try. Actually, writing this review has given me the urge to rent it and watch it again. |
