“Almost Famous” was more than just a story about a rock band. It was an emotional journey into the lives of the fans who truly understand the soul of the music. The people who are there through the hard times and share in the success. It is a story about the strength of a team built from the collective strength of individuals. He He! Actually, it was pretty much the story of an egotistical, self-centered rock band, the chicks that followed them around, and a 15 year old writer.
I always wondered what it would be like to be famous. I think this movie did a good job of painting that picture, even if it was on the Dali end of the spectrum. If I became famous, I am pretty certain that I would be the same person as I am today. The problem is that I will never find out. (unless this movie critic thing works out)
Although I thought this movie was generally entertaining, it was not as good as I expected from all the hype. From what I had heard, I thought for sure I would rate it at least a 9. I was a little disappointed, but just a little. After all, it was one of the better movies I have seen in a while. |
