I went into this movie with high expectations. Despite all of the negative reviews I had heard, I was certain that this was going to be a great film. WRONG! I worked long and hard at trying to convince myself that this was a good movie, but I just could not pull it off. The concept was interesting, but the execution was a little shotty.
As the movie moved forward, my rating moved lower. There were even times when I had wished that the lunatics would shoot me and put me out of my misery. But, I remained focused hoping that the movie would take a turn for the better. It didn’t.
I guess Robert DeNiro is not getting as many good movie offers as he once did. Or, maybe he is not reading them carefully enough. Even so, I am surprised that he would be involved with this one. I do wish they would quit showing close-ups of him. His head is a little scary on the big screen.
I am pretty sure that no one will really enjoy this movie. You may not hate it, but I doubt you will be recommending it to anyone either. |
