This is a story about the coming of age of a boy by traveling on the road with his favorite band while writing the story for Rolling Stone. This isn't a story - this is a dream come true!!!! I don't know one person who wouldn't jump at the chance to live this life, if even for just one day! I think that's what this movie allowed me to do - and that's why it got such a high rating! But it also shows the non-glamorous side of being "band-aids" and all the stuff that goes along with that type of life.
The soundtrack is great! Even for me who was born in the 70s - but never really liked the music. I swear they took every good 70s song and put it on this soundtrack. The scene on the tour bus while the band sings "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John is a great scene! It probably would have been a great movie to see in the theater just for the sheer enjoyment of the music.
