I thoroughly enjoyed this movie - even more than I thought I would! I had heard good things about this movie - but you never really know until you see if for yourself. This was definitely better than what I thought.
Maybe it's because my love of dance - my enthusiasm for it that made me love this movie. Or maybe because the kids in this movie were fantastic! I loved the expressions on Billy's face! And his friend Michael was priceless! These kids could act and it was very enjoyable to watch.
The only thing that I was surprised at was that I thought it was supposed to be more on the comedy side of movies - but I caught myself crying several times during the film. I actually was caught up in the movie - feeling what the characters were feeling and going through. The only downside was the fact that the actors had very thick cockney accents that were difficult to understand at times. I would definitely recommend seeing this movie - definitely as a DVD or a renter - that way you can rewind and catch every word! |
