My Review:

The first hour is pretty slow-moving.  I would suspect that this an attempt to create suspense, but I found myself more interested in my mind's wanderings than the movie's storyline.  It just never captured my imagination or my attention.  Then, people started to die and that was only marginally interesting.

I also thought that Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is a hypocrite.  She's sanctimonious about upholding rules that jeopardize the needs of the many at the expense of the needs of the few, but when she's trying to help the remaining crew abandon ship, she wastes time to make sure that the ship's cat is just as safe.  To me, THIS jeopardized the needs of the many for the needs of the few (or the one.)

I cannot be responsible for your decision in seeing this movie because I cannot recommend seeing it.
