My Review:

A masterful piece of creativity.  ÒMementoÓ is the story of Leonard Shelby - a man who suffers from complete short term memory loss.  In essence, he lives his life minute to minute, because two minutes from now he wonÕt remember what just happened.  All he is capable of remembering are the events in his life that happened before the death of his wife.

Christopher NolanÕs writing and directing captures this confusion and gives us a taste of what living in a constant state of uncertainty would be like.  Nothing is straight forward, but the pieces are there, and if the puzzle is put together, everything will make sense.  Make sense?

This movie requires your undivided attention - more so than any movie I have seen before.  But, with complete focus you should be able to fully understand and appreciate it.  Without a doubt, "Memento" is my pick for the best movie of 2001.

A masterful piece of creativity.  ÒMementoÓ is the story of Leonard Shelby - a man who suffers from complete short term memory loss.  In essenceÉ
