As a movie critic, I sometimes see movies that I really have no interest in watching. This one definitely fit that category. The majority of the time the movie is every bit as bad as you anticipate. But, there is that rare occasion when the movie catches you by surprise and you find yourself enjoying it. “A Knight’s Tale” was that kind of movie.
Much of this movie was completely far fetched, and I didn’t mind. Much of this movie had modern music and sayings that would have never been used in that time period, and I didn’t mind. Much of this movie centered around Lady Jocelyn, and I REALLY didn’t mind. The movie just made me feel good. I usually hate stories like this one as the style tends to be much more of a Bill Pick. But, on this one, we found some common ground.
The storyline is not very mysterious, and you won’t need to be a Mensa to figure out what is going to happen. However, the true enjoyment lies in getting there. |
