Before you see this movie, make sure you are in the mood to pay close attention. I watched it a little late in the evening and I found it a challenge to give it the attention it required. The plot moves in reverse so it is very easy to get lost in it. In fact, I still think I may have been mixed up on a fact or two. I generally like movies that are complex in nature, so this one was cool. I can't imagine the attention to detail that must have went into the writing of this film for it to work.
That aside, the movie was interesting and unique. The plot was not like any movie I've seen. I liked the twists and turns it had to offer.
What surprised me was the violence. The main character was developed differently than I had expected - a bit meaner than I thought from the previews I had seen. Overall, it had a dirty feel. The scenes and the characters all seemed shady which fit the story, but threw me off a bit. This is a movie I would keep your kids away from. |
