Prot (Kevin Spacey) is a alien from the far reaches of the universe who is just visiting our planet for a short time before he make his journey back home. Or is he? Some earthlings believe his story, but most of them are just crazy people who want (almost need) to believe. No rational person could truly believe that someone who looks and talks like a human could really travel a thousand light years from another planet. Or could they? Especially, in light of the fact that one of the greatest minds, Albert Einstein, stated that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. Or did he?

Kevin Spacey will undoubtedly receive an Oscar nomination for his role in K-Pax. It’s too early to tell if the movie will turn out to be a 2001 blockbuster. But, it’s not too early to tell that K-Pax is one of the best movies of the year. |
