“Made” starred Vince Vaughn and John Favreau – two of the leading roles from the movie “Swingers”. In addition to acting in both films, John Favreau is also credited with their writings. For these reasons, I mistakenly thought this movie was a sequel. I guess I should have known from the title, but then again I know quite a few people who thought the movie “Swingers” had a completely different storyline.
“Made” had a running time of more than an hour and a half. Yet, if you eliminated all the “F---” words, the film could easily have been under an hour. Overall, the story teetered on tolerable. But, Vince Vaughn’s character was so annoying that it continually drained any potential the movie had to be enjoyable. I don’t think this movie is for everyone. In fact, I think it will be truly enjoyed by very few. |
