This movie is a MUST SEE for hockey fans and for Paul Newman fans! Newman (Reggie Dunlop) plays an aging player-coach of the third-rate Charlestown Chiefs, a minor league hockey franchise. Dunlop's winning formula is to motivate his players to talk trash, intimidate, and pummel opposing teams to the Federal League Championship. In this movie, Newman is a genuine comedic talent, but his supporting cast have many additional opportunities for laughs. Of course, everyone will love the Hanson Brothers (Jeff Carlson, Steve Carlson, David Hanson), but don't overlook the performances of the Chiefs' goalie and radio announcer.
