I will start off by saying I've never been the biggest Russell Crowe fan. To me, the roles he plays could be played by just about anyone. But not this one. He was superb! I cannot picture anyone else portraying John Nash the way he did. He brought this man's warped and tragic life to a new level.
I was also not excited to see a movie about math. Ask anyone - math is not my strong point. But like all good movies, it doesn't focus on the boring - it focuses just enough on the subject matter to make it interesting and then they place a wonderful story behind it.
Jennifer Connelly was excellent as Nash's wife. If the movie showed how their life really was, she is an incredible woman.
Overall - I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I got past my pre-conceived notions and went, and I'm very glad i did! |
