Let's hope that the Blair Witch Myth is put to rest. The original (The Blair Witch Project) was a uniquely horrifying experience-a remarkable achievement in film. I freaked so much that it's on my top ten best films list. It seems incomprehensible that its sequal could be as bad as the original is good. The sequal (at least for now) has reserved a spot on my top ten worst films list. It boggles the mind!
This film should not have been made. The mystique is forever tainted. BW1 worked because the professional actors came across like extemporaneous, amateur documentarians. BW2 fails miserably because the professional actors came across like overacting, amateur actors.
