If you are looking for an out of shape actor to play an out of control, drunk, moronic, druggie, than Jack Black is your man. I thought he and the rest of the cast were hilarious in this very sophomoric comedy. Not much thinking was needed to watch this one, but a lot of laughter took its place. In fact, I laughed so much that my laughter turned into coughing. I think it is safe to say that, as an unwritten rule, laughter to the point of coughing should warrant a decent rating.
Overall, “Orange County” was better than I expected and I’m glad I finally got a chance to see it. (I would have gone before, but no one seemed interested until it hit the second run theatre.) |
