This was a powerful movie about how people get along and cope with different situations. It's also a movie about tolerance and love. That's probably the easiest way to explain it. There is a delicate web that is woven that ties the main characters, Leticia and Hank (Billy Bob Thornton and Halle Berry) together under themost dire of circumstances.
It wasn't the most "feel-good" movie I've seen, but it carries a strong message with it.
Both leads are worthy of an Oscar, even though Miss Berry is the only one nominated. Catch this movie if you can - it's not playing in major theaters, but make sure to take a trip to your local artsy theater and see it! |
