| For most of the movie, it's your average cop drama, but when Eddie Fleming (Robert DeNiro) is murdered in cold blood, it loses focus and spins chaotically out of control. Ironically enough, it coincides with the last 15 minutes (approximately) of the movie. Even with a sensible ending, its rating wouldn't have finished higher than 5 kernels. You know, its very much like a quote attributed to the late Sam Kinison: If you already know you're not going to Heaven, why miss by 3 inches? "15 Minutes" took this quote to heart. Until the wrong turn, it was just shy of being a good movie by about 3 inches. It finished by a margin of greater than 3 yards. |
