It is indeed rare that I wonder what story would have developed had something different happened in a movie. If this is a rare event, this was a "once-in-a-blue-moon" movie!
The movie begins with the crew and passengers of a spaceship in "cryosleep." The spaceship is bombarded by some debris that eventually forces a crash landing. On its way down, a member of the crew tries to jettison the passengers to avert the crash, but another member of the crew thwarts the attempt. After viewing the movie, I wonder what would have happened had the jettison occurred. I also thought it would be interesting and unexpected if nobody got off the planet and everyone was gruesomely killed by the aliens. |
