Now here is a wonderful movie worthy of a head-to-head battle with ÒStar Wars Episode IIÓ on its opening weekend. Of course, we know who will win. But, if quality was the deciding factor, ÒAbout A BoyÓ would destroy ÒEpisode IIÓ at the box office.
Hugh Grant was a perfect choice for the leading role and he put in a powerful and hysterical performance as Will Freeman (a name that was a little more than coincidental). Nicholas Hoult (a relative unknown) put in an equally credible performance as Marcus Ð the young nuisance, turned tolerable, turned friend of Will.
The acting was perfect, the story was great, and I lost myself in the movie. ItÕs not a ÒChick FlickÓ. ItÕs not a ÒGuy FlickÓ. ItÕs just a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that everyone will enjoy. |
