I know. I saw the movie on 6/14 and IÕm just now putting in my review (6/20). This is what happens with summer in full bloom. ThereÕs things to do and softball to play. But, thatÕs no excuse so here goes.
I had heard of comparisons between ÒThe Bourne IdentityÓ and ÒRun Lola Run.Ó I thought Bourne was to have similar styling and music. And, they even went as far as to get the actress who played Lola. But, comparisons I could not find, including the music that was only similar in the trailer.
Bourne left me wanting for so much more. Matt Damon is not the most animated actor and his demeanor seemed to dull the story even further. Plus, IÕm getting sick of stories that have characters with amnesia or confusing scenes that are explained as a dream sequence Ð this one, of course, featured a lead character that couldnÕt remember who he was.
ÒThe Bourne IdentityÓ had potential, but it was missing too many critical elements (including real excitement that doesnÕt involve fast and the furious style chase scenes) to make it anything special. ÉJust wait for the video. |
