This was a very strange movie that I couldn't help but like. It sucked me right in! It wasn't a fast moving storyline -but for some reason I just had to see how it ended! It was a story about the closeness of these sisters and the weirdness of their parents and how 4 of the sisters react to the suicide of their youngest sister - and how it begins to tear the family apart. The narrator is looking back on his life in the 70's when these girls were neighbors of his - and how he and his friends saw them. I can't really tell you why I liked this movie, it's not like it was a real "feel good" movie - I just did! This is a very haunting movie from first time director Sophia Coppola - images would float in and out - almost dreamlike.
