After Little Nicky, I was uneasy about another Sandler film. This one turned out to be much more tame, and as a result, much more enjoyable for me.
Although not on the level of Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore I thought this movie had many of the things that make his movies funny Š Adam as the main character, a girl to fall for, lots of goofy characters, a bazaar story line and a happy ending. In Mr. Deeds, he finds himself the heir of a Billionaire uncle that he never knew.
The one thing that really bothered me about this movie was that it was filled with foul language and only rated PG-13! If I heard a 13-year-old talking like the characters in this movie, IÕd be very upset. Keep this in mind when your kids ask to see this movie.
In the end I liked this one. ItÕs definitely not my favorite Sandler film, but one that I didnÕt feel uncomfortable watching. |
