It's just like "Twins"...without Danny DeVito. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. It's not really about completely opposite fraternal twins who were separated and reunited, but it is about cloning identical copies of people. Hence, the reference to the creation of man in the title.
"The 6th Day" tries to capture the sci-fi magic of Arnold Schwarzenegger's (Adam Gibson) better efforts, such as "Total Recall." It does have that "figure-it-out-as-I-go" barnstorming quality, but the story is not as captivating amidst the morality debate that surrounds the cloning of people. As always, there are some classic one-liners by Schwarzenegger that will either leave you smirking or howling.
If you're simply a HUGE Arnold fan, you'll love it. Otherwise, there are some better apples of which to bite. |
