When I saw the trailer for this movie, I immediately thought "Oh boy, another hostage movie". I almost decided not to see it at all. But, I like to give almost any movie a shot, so we rented it.
I found the whole movie a bit unbelievable. For example, the young man facing the death penalty refused to speak in his defense during his trial, despite his claim to innocence. In fact, the acting of Jo D. Jonz was not very convincing at any point.
Nonetheless, the movie kept my attention with it’s plot. I liked how the Assistant District Attorney was forced to play detective in an effort to find new evidence and save the lives of the jury members. I enjoyed watching the story unfold as the Father’s deadline drew near.
In short, I would wait to see this one until you’re out of things to rent. |
