It seems like Matthew McConaughey is in everything these days. He was in "Thirteen Conversations About One Thing," and I would have seen him in "Reign of Fire" if I thought there was a chance I would like it. Ok, maybe not everything since those are his only 3 movies in 2002. ...Just everything I'm renting, or considering to rent lately.
I knew nothing about the movie, other than what the DVD case could tell me. I was skeptical, since horror/demonic movies generally freak me out. I can live with a Freddy or Jason, but Satan makes me nervous.
The story kept my attention, the ending was interesting, and I was able to sleep that night. It's a horror movie without the nightmares. (Actually, it barely even qualifies for that genre.) |
