"Catch Me If You Can" is a quirky tale (based on a true story) of Frank Abignale, Jr (played by Leonardo DiCaprio)who, at age 16, began posing as different people and cashing in on the government. I thoroughly enjoyed this moving from beginning to end. Never would I have dreamed that I had just sat through a 2 1/2 hour film - because it kept my attention the entire time.
DiCaprio has never been one of my favorite actors (I know - that's blasphemous!) but I think this movie might have put him in my "i'd see it if he's in it" category.
Tom Hanks (who is in my "I will see anything he's in" category) plays the FBI agent who tracks down Abignale over a period of years. I believe this proves that Mr. Hanks doesn't have to be the "star" of the film to still have a great character.
Another perk (at least for me) was Christopher Walken, who plays Frank Abignale, Sr. Even though he's not in a great deal of the movie - his character is still an important one.
Overall - if you're interested in seeing a movie that twists and turns and is completely entertaining - see this one! |
