This was the first in a series of summer action movies that I have been waiting for. As an appetizer, it served my appetite well while I wait for Matrix Reloaded to come out in 2 weeks.
This movie really built well on the first X Men movie. I thought that the first one was an excellent interpretation of the comic. This one was just as good.
The highlights for me were the visual effects! There were some amazing things happening in this movie that made it special. In addition, the action started at the beginning and didn't stop until the credits rolled. I quickly recalled the same feeling of anticipation I got from watching the first movie. You just don't know how events will turn out.
With the introduction of lots more great characters and a revisit from Magneto, there will be a few more of these movies to enjoy I'm sure. |
