I look at this movie as a warm-up to the sequel of the all-time greatest Sci-Fi movie, The Matrix. With The Matrix: Reloaded only 2 weeks away and a trailer before X2 that made my heart race, the Sci-Fi bug had me filled with excitement.
I think X2 did what few sequels manage to accomplish. That is surpass the original. The story was more entertaining and the plot was well constructed. Overall, it was a quality picture, but I'm a little tired of comic book movies.
Our high-brow (former) reviewer, Matt, indicated that he was teetering on a 7/8 rating for the movie. That's remarkable since he only rated The Matrix a 5. Then again, anyone that gives The Matrix a 5 doesn't have a clue anyway. I guess he just couldn't fully understand it. (maybe my smack talk will get him writing his own reviews again ;) |
