When the movie started, I thought the theatre was having problems with the color adjustment. Then I realized that the different subplots of the movie had different tint colors. What I mean is that specific portions of the movie had normal coloring, others had a yellow tint, and still others a blue tint. It appeared to me that the all of the scenes from Mexico that involved the drug cartels had a yellow tint. But throughout the movie, I was unable to determine the differences between the scenes with normal and blue tints. I think this could have added to the movie experience if I was intelligent enough to figure it out. Even so, the subplots were easy to follow and they linked well together.
I thought the movie was well written and well acted, but I did not get a whole lot of enjoyment out of watching it. If you love to go to the movies, this one is above average. However, I don’t think it would hurt to wait until it is on video. I am not sure the big screen really added anything. |
