For some reason, I didn't watch the trailer for this movie and missed the fact that this was a twist on the zombie horror theme! Another thing I wish I knew beforehand was that this was a fox searchlight film which means it's pretty much an independent film. There are many strange camera angles and effects throughout the film. In addition, it took place in England so everyone had accents. It had the feel of and old sci-fi picture.
Overall, the movie was suspenseful and dramatic. The infected people were convincingly portrayed, but I had some problems with the plot that made it a
bit less enjoyable. I wouldn't say it very scary, save for a few parts that
made us jump in our seats. The concept was good and I liked the ending, but I
wish I had seen it as a rental. It just wasn't the kind of movie that I like
to pay $8 for. |
